CROWNS MISS BIKINI PHILIPPINES 2012!

Slimmers World International, Asia’s leader in Slimming, Health, Fitness and Beauty, returns to center stage with Miss Bikini Philippines Pageant 2012. The Grand Coronation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, 7pm at the PICC Plenary Hall.

Staging what is probably the most colorful and vibrant beauty and talent competition, Slimmers World International, Asia’s leader in Slimming, Health and Beauty, crowned Abbygale Monderin as this year’s Miss Bikini Philippines.

Rising above the most competitive field in Miss Bikini Philippines history, Ms. Monderin emerged as the winner for her overall combination of beauty, talent, and grace across the entire competition. She also was recognized as Miss Photogenic and the Best In Long Gown by the competition judges. For taking the crown, Abbygale won P500,000 in cash and prizes. The Best In Long Gown award earned her P20,000 in cash and prizes. As Miss Photogenic, she also garnered an additional cash and prize reward worth P20,000 alongside a portrait, sash and bouquet.

In her reign as Miss Bikini Philippines, Miss Monderin will represent the country in Miss Bikini International in China. She is a BS HRM graduate from World Citi Colleges and represents her home branch, Slimmers World Pasig.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with Ms. Monderin, her royal court, the runners up, rose up as worthy contenders.  Ms. Lian Ricafort from Slimmers World Greenhills took 1st runner up honors. Ms Vangie Martelle of Binondo branch won the 2nd runner up title.

Special awards were also handed out, attesting to the high quality of the competition. Miss Congeniality went to Rita Sarmiento from Palawan. She won P25,000 in cash and prizes. Jolina Ann Roque of Subic branch was judged as Best In Creative Posing. She won P30,000 in cash and prizes. Clarize Angelica Barrameda of Caloocan branch won the award for being the Darling of the Clients which came with a P15,000 cash and P10,000 in gift certificates. Miss Great Skin went to Gracee Lopez of Adriatico branch. She also won P30,000 worth of Slimmers World Face and Skin services. Resplendent as the winner of the category Best in National Costume, Hershey Montecastro of Legaspi branch won P30,000 in cash and prizes. 

Competitors immersed themselves into the competition for practically the whole month of April, engaging in special training for personality development, modeling, and nutrition, participating in fitness classes, cross-country branch visits, spreading the Slimmers World philosophy on adopting the healthy lifestyle.

The Carnivale / Rio-inspired theme served as the perfect vibrant backdrop for Abbygale’s rousing win as she surpassed the competition’s test for health, fitness and beauty with flying colors.

Partnered with Miss Bikini International, Miss Bikini Philippines Pageant stands as the country’s most prestigious bikini pageant today, emerging as the selection platform for Miss Bikini International in China.

For 2012, 24 candidates emerged after a careful screening process that combed through hundreds of hopefuls across the Philippines. Rising above against other beauty pageants, Slimmers World’s Miss Bikini Philippines advocates the healthy, fit and beautiful lifestyle for every Filipino, particularly for the younger generation. Candidates will be housed for 20 days at the Diamond Hotel Manila, undergoing special training for personality development, modeling, nutrition counseling and fitness and skin assessments. The extensive measures taken by Slimmers World helps ensure that all the candidates can stand toe-to-toe with the best the world has to offer in international competition.

The theme for this year is inspired by the festive carnival of Rio de Janeiro. The staging, the costumes, and this year’s bevy of beauties will create a festival-like samba atmosphere celebrating both the candidates and the competition.
